f/8 and be there

It's an old phrase by photojurnalists, it actually has two meanings. First it talks about your aperture being f/8 and the next about being there. Here's the keyword - 'be there'. It's not just saying that to set your aperture to f/8 and be there, but more the meaning of being there, being at the location, being at the place you want to take the photograph.

If you're not there, you can't have the shot, just simple as that.

I carry my camera wherever I go (not the E-3), so that I can grab a shot anytime I want to, and anywhere I go to.

Be there.
